The Xavier Society has an active corps of over 80 volunteers, committed to the ministry of providing Catholic spiritual and inspirational reading materials free-of-charge to the visually impaired. Volunteers assist in recording materials (both reading and monitoring the recording), transcription, clerical work, reception duties, production assistance in Braille and large print. All of these services are donated at our offices in Manhattan, during regular business hours (M-F, 9 a.m.-5 p.m)
We also have a dedicated group of friends who create and assist in an assortment of volunteer activities that help raise funds to keep our work alive and growing.
If you are interested in joining the fellowship of volunteers who assist the staff in providing this vital ministry, please call, write or e-mail.
